Local Canterbury artist famous for drawing skills, particularly in the mediums of Chinese brush and charcoal. He has been involved in visuals arts his whole life, from running his own graphic design company in London to lecturing art at Canterbury College for more than 15 years. He has exhibited all across Europe and his work can be found in many private collections.
Chinese brush is a technique that is similar to calligraphy as it’s done with a brush dipped in dark coloured ink. No sketch is used, which requires the artist to frame the picture in their mind and then translate it across to canvas. Jack and his wife Ann help out in our shop on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Come and say hi or book a virtual tour with him, and he can show you his stunning work and tell you a bit more about this ancient tradition.
