Welcome to our four-week handbuilding ceramics course, designed to cater to participants of all skill levels!
Throughout this comprehensive course, you'll embark on an enriching journey into the world of handbuilding ceramics. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced artist looking to refine your techniques, this course offers a perfect blend of foundational knowledge and advanced skills to elevate your craftsmanship.
You will have recieve an introduction to Handbuilding Techniques In the first week, you'll be introduced to the fundamental techniques of handbuilding. Explore the versatility of clay as you learn coil, and slab construction methods and modelling. Discover how to prepare the clay, wedging techniques, and the basics of shaping forms by hand. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, you'll create your own work and get comfortable with the tactile nature of working with clay.

Clive Soord is an artist from Canterbury in Kent that creates amazing works of sculpture using ceramics and mixed media. He has taught for over 35 years and exhibited all over the world with his own work .
