"Hand carved from oak. It was a difficult decision not to stand and smooth the surface of this vase but after a few sittings, the marks from the carving process looked so striking that it was decided it should be left. Perfectly imperfect.

Scorching the wood created a subtle shadowy effect that gives this piece great texture and movement."
